Local public-private partnership seeking motivated individuals to join its team, including a high school intern for summer 2025
Norwalk, OH – Huron County Growth Partnership (HCGP), the non-profit described as a public-private partnership, is seeking qualified applicants for three open positions – Economic Development Coordinator, part-time Bookkeeper & Office Manager, and Summer Marketing & Events Intern.
The Economic Development Coordinator is a key leader in HCGP’s Economic Advancement work which includes a broad range of projects, programs, strategies, and tasks that impact the business health of the region.
The part-time Bookkeeper and Office Manager is crucial for maintaining financial records accurately and efficiently, while also ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office.
The Marketing and Events Intern should be a graduating or upcoming senior with plans to pursue a career in business, communications, or marketing. The Intern will work in a unique environment, with an exciting blend of office work and projects and events out in the community.
HCGP is also announcing a promotion and a reassignment among its staff. These changes support scalable, focused impact.

Emily Baker has been promoted to Membership and Events Coordinator. Demonstrating attention to detail in her first year at HCGP, Emily has a track record of successful events and an engaging attitude which will support her new responsibilities of driving the growth and engagement of HCGP’s membership base – this involves attracting new members, retaining existing members, and maximizing their benefits and overall experience within the HCGP community.

Project Manager, Kayla Cross, is transitioning her project management expertise away from the focused work of economic development projects and applying her methods to operations for HCGP to continue to scale the organization, pushing the still newly partnered organization to full alignment through operational excellence.
A motivated team at HCGP is excited to support their colleagues Emily and Kayla in their new roles and welcome new faces to the driven team. Andrea Welfle continues to serve as Marketing & Community Outreach Coordinator, Judy Lykins Land Bank Coordinator, and Sarah Ross Executive Director.
