The Huron County Growth Partnership and the Norwalk Area Visitors Bureau invite local businesses, restaurants, retailers, attractions, and community organizations to help welcome approximately 800 cyclists to Huron County during the 2026 Great OhioBicycle Adventure (GOBA), taking place June 19–22 and returning June 27.
As part of America 250-Ohio, GOBA will bring visitors from across the state and beyond to experience the people, places, and hospitality that make Huron County special. Riders will be staying in and exploring the Norwalk area, creating a unique opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products, services, and community spirit.
Cyclists will begin arriving in Norwalk on the afternoon of Friday, June 19, with many visiting Uptown Norwalk for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Throughout the weekend, riders will be traveling the area, including visits to local attractions such as the Edison Birthplace Museum, attending community events, and enjoying all that our community has to offer. Additional opportunities to engage visitors will occur when cyclists return to the area on Saturday, June 27.
Growth Partnership is encouraging businesses to get involved by:
- Displaying “Welcome GOBA Riders” signage
- Offering special promotions, discounts, or “Two-Wheel Deals”
- Providing bike parking, water stations, or rest areas
- Extending a warm welcome to visitors exploring our community
- Helping promote bicycle safety and sharing the road
- Showcasing the best of Huron County hospitality
In addition to welcoming cyclists, this is an opportunity to create memorable experiences for hundreds of visitors and to demonstrate why Huron County is a great place to visit, live, and do business.
Businesses interested in participating or learning more about opportunities to engage GOBA riders are encouraged to contact the Huron County Growth Partnership at 419-668-4155. Volunteer opportunities for local civic groups are also available. Together, we can ensure that Huron County delivers an exceptional welcome and leaves a lasting impression on our guests.
Let’s show these riders what makes Huron County a destination worth remembering.
