HURON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TAKE OFFICE, MESENBURG JOINS TWO LOCAL BOARDS
Over the holidays Tom Dunlap and Brad Mesenburg were sworn in as Huron County Commissioners, joining Harry Brady, for the next 4 years. Dunlap previously served as the Second Ward Representative on Norwalk City Council and is on his second term serving as Commissioner (previously serving from 2013-2016). Dunlap’s career in public service began in 1974 as a sergeant turned Huron County Sheriff in 1984. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Tom in a different capacity over the next 4 years.
Brad Mesenburg is beginning his first term as County Commissioner and currently serves as the Townsend Township Fiscal Officer. Since 2006, he has been the Vice President of their 3rd generation family-run business, Mesenburg Bros. Inc. Mesenburg is also joining the Huron County Growth Partnership Board of Directors and the Huron County Land Bank Board of Directors. We are looking forward to his fresh perspective and determination to push projects through to completion to drive progress in Huron County. He will be a vital asset on our Boards and we have great confidence in both their abilities to lead Huron County well.
The pair will also be HCGP’s speakers for their first Quarterly Member Breakfast on January 29, 2025 at 8 AM. The breakfast is a member exclusive networking event that will be held at the new Enrichment Services for Huron County building located at 325 Shady Lane Drive in Norwalk. Any members interested in attending the breakfast can register to attend here.
Thank you, Tom and Brad, for your dedication to our community and your willingness to serve. Read more about their stories here.
