Ploger Transportation hosts huron County growth partnership’s Business After Hours – Discuss value of partnerships
Huron County Growth Partnership Members came together for networking and a peek into what life is like at Ploger Transportation.
Norwalk, OH – On Wednesday February 12th Huron County Growth Partnership and Ploger Transportation hosted a Business After Hours at Ploger’s headquarters.
The event was a success with approximately 25 members in attendance as well as many Ploger employees, despite the inclement weather. Attendees enjoyed appetizers provided by Manny’s Sports Tavern and Grill, now owned by Norwalk native and RISE client, Daniell (Welfle) Still. They also heard from Marketing & Recruitment Director, Chris Smith, about Ploger’s hurricane relief efforts in 2024 as well as the importance of their relationship with the Huron County Growth Partnership. Chris praised owners Tanya and Jerry Morrow for their commitment to making Ploger Transportation an incredible and safe place to work.
“Through our partnership [with HCGP] I was able to develop a relationship with Senator Manning and discuss important issues in the logistics and transportation industries” Smith says. Through that relationship he was proud to share that Ohio has just re-opened its 9th rest area for truck drivers to safely rest during their travels.
