JOIN HCGP

HCGP has over 325 members ranging from mom-and-pop shops, to multi-national manufacturers, and all our  beloved Huron County Cities and Villages. Some members join because they want to get something from Huron  County Growth Partnership, some join because they want to get something done with Huron County Growth  Partnership. Our deliverables to our members are many, but it’s our partnership that’s the most valuable.

OUR MISSION Is to grow and support Our businesses and communities

Through these efforts, the Huron County Growth Partnership aims to position the county as an attractive location for business development and economic prosperity.

The partnership formed from three local organizations: Norwalk Economic Development Corporation (NEDC),  Huron County Development Council (HCDC), and the Huron County Chamber of Commerce.  

By leveraging resources and partnerships, the Huron County Growth Partnership seeks to: 

  • Serve as a resource connector for local companies 
  • Support and retain existing industries
  • Develop a skilled workforce
  • Advocate for businesses
  • Collaborate with regional partners to improve the overall business environment

Our Programs

As a community and business leader, Huron County Growth Partnership facilitates various forums related to pressing issues facing our community. There are abundant opportunities to join a committee. Our staff may also be available on a fee-for-service or contact basis for certain programs or activities that align with our mission. Please  reach out to get involved in a committee or work with us.

 

There’s no quicker and more exciting path to growth than shared knowledge. Huron County Growth Partnership  facilitates a bi-monthly roundtable of our local Cities, Villages, and Townships to learn best practices and share.  Email sross@huroncountyohio.com to join. 

Firelands Manufacturing Alliance is an organization of manufacturing Operations and HR leaders from Huron & Erie Counties. It meets bi-monthly and is focused on manufacturing workforce development. Email kcross@huroncountyohio.com to join.

A collaborative group of Huron County school superintendents and business leaders, the BAC’s mission is to  engage the business and education communities to understand and support the educational and employment  needs within our county, while partnering with local and regional governmental entities and community leaders to  ignite students to develop better futures for themselves and their communities. Huron County Growth Partnership administers the Huron County Land Bank. Its mission is the preservation,  restoration or disposal of abandoned or foreclosed properties and to strategically acquire properties, return them to productive use, reduce blight, increase property values, support community goals, and improve the quality of  life for Huron County residents. Huron County Safety Council is a monthly educational forum to equip you to make your workplace safer. By meeting eligibility requirements, members of the Safety Council may also earn a 3% rebate on your workers’ compensation premium. Email ebaker@huroncountyohio.com to learn more and join.
