Committees provide a great way for members to help support the work of Huron County Chamber of Commerce. Committee members are responsible for providing input on the operations of the Chamber and supporting the work of the professional staff.

Program Committee

Chair-Carrie Jo Wahl, Board Member

Plan and execute networking and fundraising events.  Events are designed to increase the visibility of our member businesses and provide networking opportunities between members. Sub-committees for educational programs, special fundraising and large events that require more focus.

Membership Outreach

Chair – Trevor Rood, 1st VP

Focus on onboarding and member outreach. Focus on making our online presence streamlined and significant. Develop new ways to utilize technology to ensure the Chamber is current and efficient. Develop initiatives and strategies to ensure the Chamber and our members are effectively marketed to our community.

Building Maintenance

Chair – Dave Weisenberger

Oversee maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the Chamber building and property. The committee advises, supports, and makes recommendations to the board of directors on all matters of facilities management and maintenance.

Finance

Chair – Kyle Pauley, President and Treasurer

The development of the organization’s budgeting and financial planning. The preparation and distribution to the board of timely, accurate, and user-friendly financial reports and implement safeguards to protect the organization’s assets.

By- Law Review

Chair – Ken Smith, Past President

The Committee is asked to review the current By laws to determine if changes are needed, as a result of practice or good governance and to prepare appropriate amendments for action.

Huron County Safety Council

Chair- Ryan Bowers, Executive Committee Member

Develop and set programing under the guidelines of BWC safety council program. Manage and maintain membership specific to the Safety Council program guidelines.
